At HMP Hull there is a focus on resettlement with many prisoners employed in the workshops kitchens, gardens and works departments. The prison is especially proud to have built partnerships with voluntary and community sector organisations, who provide specialist services and training for prisoners. This gives inmates the chance to gain new skills, increasing chances of long-term employment on release.
Prisoners are employed in the workshops, kitchen, gardens and works departments. Education classes are available and there is a range of offending behaviour groups, including anger management and drug and alcohol misuse.
