During the 2 months before Xmas the prisoners and staff of HMP Lincoln raised £sd for local charities by holding fund raising events during visiting period at the prison and by earning sponsorship on a marathon cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats which was conducted in the prison gym on exercise bikes. A cheque was presented by Mr 123, governor of HMP Lincoln, to the Charity X at a ceremony held at the prison and attended by those prisoners and members of staff who had helped in the cycling event.
