Visits are held at the weekend on both days between 13:45-15:45
You can book visits online at www.gov.uk/prison-visits, all you need is the name and date of birth of the person you are visiting , their prisoner number and the visitor details. You can choose up to 3 possible dates and times. Prison booking staff will check what’s available and confirm your visit by email. If you’ve made an online visit booking request and haven’t received a confirmation email within 1-3 working days, email [email protected]
You can also book by email, send a request to the email above giving the name and prison number of who you want to visit, and the full names, dates of birth, relationship to the prisoner and addresses of all visitors. Unless you get a confirmation email back, do NOT assume you have successfully booked a visit!
Prisoners are allowed one visit per weekend. Each prisoner may be visited by up to three adults and accompanying children. You will be required to provide 1x photo identification or 2 X forms of other identification (i.e. bank statement or utilities bill) and to give the name of the prisoner that they are visiting. If the Visit has been booked on line then the confirmation email must be brought in when you come as proof of booking.
As at all prisons, there are restrictions on what you can bring into the prison ( no mobiles, cigarettes, food & drink etc) and you may be searched prior to being admitted. The visiting centre , which opens at 13:00 has lockers where you can leave items during your visit.
