There is a regular bus service on Friday and Saturday from Hemel Hempstead bus station will take you to HMP The Mount. (#52) , but this does not run on a Sunday and no alternative buses are available. Taxis are available at Hemel Hempstead station and at Chesham station, each about 5 miles distant from the prison. If coming from central London it is sensible to allow a couple of hours for the journey!

Turn left at the traffic lights by the Swan Public House. onto the B4505. This is Box Lane. Follow it through the village of Bovingdon, passing the Chiltern Jaguar/Petrol Station on your left. After another 200 metres turn right into Molyneaux Avenue.
From the M25 either leave at Junction 21 or 20. From Junction 21 take the M1 north for 3 miles until Junction 8 is reached, then follow the directions above or from Junction 20 follow the A41 (Aylesbury) for approximately four miles turn off and follow the signs for Boxmoor, turning left onto the B4505 at the traffic lights by the Swan Public House. Follow it through the village of Bovingdon, passing the Chiltern Jaguar/Petrol Station on your left. After another 200 metres turn right into Molyneaux Avenue.
There is ample free space for parking available at the prison
