Visits are held at the following times:
- Tuesday –Thursday 14:15-16:00
- Saturday 9:00-11:00, 14:00-16:00
- Sunday 14:00-16:00
A Father & Child visit is held during the morning session on the 3rd Saturday of every month.
You can book online, go to www.gov.uk/prison-visits. All you need is the name and date of birth of the person you are visiting, their prisoner number and details of the visitors. You can choose up to 3 possible dates and times. Prison booking staff will check what’s available and confirm your visit by email. If you’ve made an online visit booking request and haven’t received a confirmation email within 1-3 working days, call 01908 722329. You can also book calls by calling this number which is open Monday – Friday: 8am – 11.30am, 1pm – 3.30pm.
Woodhill operate a “standards of dress” policy for visitors, ripped or torn items of clothing are not allowed, any visitor trying to visit with torn clothing will not be allowed entry.
There is a visitors centre at the prison which is open around the scheduled visiting times. You should book in at the centre at least 30mins before your visit. Be sure to bring photo ID or you will be denied entry to the visiting hall. There are lockers available at the centre for you to leave items, such as mobile phones, smoking materials prior to your visits, these require a refundable £1 coin.
Transport to the Prison
The nearest train station is Milton Keynes. From there, you can take the number 2 bus service to the prison, which runs every 20 minutes, seven days a week (for timetable details call the traveline on 0871 200 22 33) or visit www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/transport.
The roads in Milton Keynes run on a grid basis with vertical and horizontal main access roads, with numerous roundabouts. It is easy to navigate through the city.
