Education at HMP Fosse Way is provided by Milton Keynes College, rated Good by Ofsted, delivering courses across the prison’s eight classrooms alongside 24 workshops.
Work and Employment
Workshops cover barbering, woodwork, bricklaying and construction, lighting, waste management, bike repair, painting and decorating, digital and business skills, a Barista Academy and music production. Serco also runs a large prisoner-staffed Facilities Management scheme, and a specialist air-duct-cleaning training partnership with the National Association of Air Duct Cleaners, through which more than 250 prisoners have gained a recognised qualification.
Older prisoners are additionally supported by Recoop, engaged to help with the specific needs of that group as they approach release.
