Visits at HMP Morton Hall are held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, 2pm–4pm. You should book at least 48 hours in advance by calling 0300 303 0649 (Monday to Friday, 9am–3pm), or via the GOV.UK online prison-visit booking service. Bookings for face-to-face visits can also be made by emailing hmppsvisitbooking@justice.gov.uk; video call visits are booked via omu.mortonhall@justice.gov.uk.
Adult visitors will need photo ID such as a passport or driving licence; children need a birth certificate or similar. As with other prisons, expect a short security check, including drug-detection dog screening, so it is worth arriving a little before your visit time. Given some of the differences reported between official and third-party sources for this prison, it is worth double-checking exact visiting arrangements directly with the prison or via the national booking line before travelling.
Getting there:
The nearest railway station is Swinderby, served by East Midlands Railway, a short distance from the prison. The prison is also reached via the A46; Lincoln is around 15 minutes’ drive away, Nottingham around 30 minutes. On-site visitor parking, including disabled spaces, is available.
